As a Patent Attorney (Principal), you will manage a team and partner with renowned client organisations to protect their innovations in Life Sciences, Engineering, and/or Information and Communications Technology, grow your patent expertise across multiple jurisdictions, and build a long-term career in the Intellectual Property (IP) industry within a market-leading and award-winning (IP) service firm.
Some key responsibilities of your role include:
* Leadership and team management.
* Handling all aspects of the patent prosecution process.
* Liaising with inventors and corporate clients.
* Strategic oversight over your team's drafting, filing and prosecution of patent applications in Singapore, Asia and abroad.
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in patents and drafting, with some industry and/or post-grad research experience.
* Proven leadership experience
* Minimum Bachelor’s Degree and/or PhD in any of the following fields – Life Sciences, Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and/or Communications Engineering.
* GDIPIM, Singapore PA registration or equivalent (e.g. UK, US, European) – part qualified or qualified.
* Good time management and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication skills in English (both written and oral).
* Candidates who are qualified in regions other than Singapore will also be considered.
