We are looking to speak to Mechanical / Hydraulic Project Engineers who are looking for a role that takes them towards Project Management.
We’re working with a rapidly growing engineering firm that delivers complex, high-value turnkey M&E solutions across a range of UK sectors.
A large part of the role is determining feasibility of a potential project and tendering. You will utilise your engineering skills to create solutions to complex engineering challenges and scope out potential problems.
This role exists because it is replacing the last person that I placed. That person has been promoted and are moving into a Project Management role.

You’ll play a crucial role in winning new business by turning client challenges into actionable, costed, and innovative engineering solutions.
The Opportunity:
You’ll work closely with internal engineering teams, project managers, clients, and suppliers to help coordinate solutions, price them, and produce detailed technical proposals.
With regular site visits across the UK, no two days will be the same. From water to infrastructure and manufacturing, the project diversity is genuinely exciting.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and write detailed technical and commercial proposals for M&E solutions
* Engage with clients to understand operational needs, budgets, and technical challenges
* Source and assess supplier and subcontractor quotes
* Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate technical input
* Assess risks and assist in programme planning and tender returns
* Maintain CRM data and project pipelines
What We’re Looking For:
* Hands-on mechanical or hydraulic engineering experience
* Involvement with tendering in your role
* Strong commercial acumen
* Confident communicator with solid relationship-building skills
Why Apply?
* Join a business with a clear growth trajectory and an exciting project portfolio
* Work across a variety of industries on technically rewarding challenges
