Popular, reputable and busy countryside freehouse pub is looking for a sous chef to join the team in the kitchen. You must:
be experienced in preparing freshly-cooked dishes
be friendly, reliable, hard-working
possess a level two Food Safety certificate
have your own transport due to the rural location of the pub - there is no accommodation provided.
You will work 40 hours per week and be part of a team of three other chefs, working alongside a great front of house team.We pride ourselves on being a dynamic, friendly and supportive team.
The Royal Exchange serves locally-sourced dishes including our home-reared Ashleworth Court Farm meats pure-bred Hereford cattle, naturally-grazed lamb and Gloucester Old Spot pigs - and often carry out our own butchery.
The successful candidate should have a passion for delivering seasonal dishes using the best local British ingredients.
The Royal Exchange has repeatedly been awarded a Travellers Choice award, has 4.5 stars on TripAdvisor and a 5* food hygiene rating. We are well supported by locals and as a destination restaurant with a 60/40 split on food/drink.
Seating 78 indoors, the pub has a large outdoor garden & terrace with views over the Malvern Hills & Black Mountains which seats a further 56 covers.
