Basic Function:
To provide specialized knowledge in an area related to higher education. Reports to designated supervisor.
Additional Basic Function – if applicable:
The College of Architecture and Environmental Design (CAED) is seeking applicants for a full-time 9-month Special Assistant reporting to the Sr. Business Manager of the college, with an administrative role supporting the central administration, programs and functions of the college including, but not limited to building access management/key cards, student worker hiring process, coordinate events, exit surveys, and administrative support to the Building Curator.
Examples of Duties:
Duties/essential functions may include, but not be limited to, the following:
Coordinate or assist in development and implementation of a program or project. May oversee day-to-day operations of a program or project.
Serve as liaison for area of specialization; answer questions and provide advice on issues related to area of specialization.
Assist in analyzing information, conducting research and developing and preparing reports related to area of specialization.
Serve on various department, division, and University committees.
May supervise students and/or provide functional guidance of support staff or other employees who work on a project or assignment on a temporary or intermittent basis.
Perform related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and two years' relevant experience; or associate's degree and five years of business and/or academic experience; or seven years of business and/or academic experience.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
Light work-Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Incumbent must be able to communicate with others. Incumbent may be required to travel from building to building frequently and off campus occasionally.
Working Schedule:
This is a continuing, 9 month appointment. The time frame you would not be working is estimated middle of May to middle of August.
