Location: South West (Bristol), Midlands (Birmingham) and South East (Swindon)
We are recruiting a Health and Social Trainer to join Catalyst Care Group. The Health and Social Trainer designs, delivers, and evaluates training programs tailored to the needs of colleagues and clinicians to enhance skills and competencies, ensure high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and professional development. The trainer collaborates with various departments to identify training needs and develop strategies to address skill gaps, maintains accurate training records, develops e-learning modules, and reports outcomes to leadership. The role focuses on clinician-centric practices and a person-centred approach, ensuring training supports the diverse and complex needs of individuals in care. Training topics include medication awareness, epilepsy awareness, positive behaviour support, manual handling, and basic life support. Continuous personal learning and development are encouraged to keep training inclusive and aligned with the organisation\'s growth and the needs of those it supports.
Responsibilities
* Design, deliver, and evaluate training programs for colleagues and clinicians.
* Identify training needs with various departments and develop strategies to address skill gaps.
* Maintain accurate training records and develop e-learning modules.
* Report training outcomes to leadership and ensure regulatory compliance.
* Support clinician-centric practices and person-centred approaches in care training.
Qualifications
* Minimum Level 3 AET (Award in Education and Training) and evidence of delivering health and social care training.
* Level 3 Assessor qualification, or willingness to work towards it, along with a Care Certificate or readiness to obtain it.
* Experience in a health and social care setting, including delivering and assessing the Care Certificate.
* Valid Train the Trainer certification in core subjects would be advantageous.
* Experience supporting individuals with complex needs, autism, or learning disabilities is a plus.
