Job overview
We are looking to recruit a Data Administrator within Research and Innovation (R&I) at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust (MFT) to support research across all MFT hospitals. This enthusiastic and self-motivated individual will support the research portfolio for the Adult Haematology Oncology team.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will be an exceptional communicator with effective organisational skills and confidence in managing a demanding and varied workload. Excellent IT skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously are essential.
The post holder will act as a point of contact for Adult Haematology Oncology research, working closely with the Trust Research Office, clinical colleagues, service support departments within MFT, and external pharmaceutical companies. They will ensure comprehensive, high-quality, and efficient data entry and administrative processes for study setup and coordination, ensuring full compliance with SOPs and regulatory frameworks to support the research portfolio's success.
Educational requirements include A level/NVQ Level 3 or demonstrable experience. Line management experience is desirable.
The post requires cross-site working across our research campuses.

Person specification
Education
* Qualified to A Level/NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
* Educated to degree level in a relevant discipline
Knowledge and Experience
* Knowledge of the Data Protection Act
* Experience with health information management and analysis in a work environment
* Knowledge of NHS systems for clinical research management
* Willingness to be trained in SQL, SPSS, and XML
* Experience with web-based applications
* Understanding NHS business and IT infrastructure

* Experience managing multiple tasks to tight deadlines
