Where will you be working?

This role will be within our water and wastewater capital project delivery team. Our teams deliver large-scale capital programmes aimed at keeping water infrastructure resilient for the long-term while protecting the environment.

What will you be doing?
As our Site Engineer with experience in the water industry, you'll work on our Thames Water Capital Delivery Framework covering South London and Thames Valley.
You'll be part of the delivery team responsible for delivering accurate and timely engineering data to support design, construction, and handover of infrastructure projects.
You'll help to ensure projects are delivered on time and to budget.
Responsibilities include producing drawings (AutoCAD) and (Civil3D), controlling drawings on site, and checking all revisions are clouded. Conducting feasibility studies, site assessments, and technical evaluations to identify project requirements and constraints. Identifying commercial issues on site and raising EWN and TQ’s. Performing As Built surveys. Conducting on-site materials testing (e.g., concrete, filling). Performing material reconciliations where required. Informing subcontractors of incorrect/defective works. Assisting with construction activities and coordination. Supporting the handover with operations and documentation.
What you’ll bring
* Experience within the water industry, specifically in mini package pumping station surveys, design, and as-built management.
* Ability to operate CAD and Microsoft Office suite.
* Experience in setting out pipelines, structures, and no-dig techniques using GPS, LEICA Robotic Total Stations, and Digital Levels.
* Bachelor’s degree or HND in civil engineering.
* SMSTS certification.
* CSCS card.
* Appointed Person (Lifting Operations).
* Temporary Works Coordinator.
* Full clean driving license.
