The role involves proactively managing devices and connectivity, and supporting Microsoft 365, Windows, Intune and core business systems. You will be a self-starter, promoting an open, approachable and improvement-focused IT service across the Devonshire Group.This is an inspiring time to join the IT team as we continue to develop our four-pillar IT structure, with dedicated focuses on service desk, security, data and solutions. There are plenty of opportunities to learn, grow and contribute to a modern, forward-looking IT function.What you’ll be doingProviding advanced second-line support across Bolton Abbey and other Yorkshire sites, resolving complex technical issues across devices, applications, identity and connectivity.Work closely with the IT team in Derbyshire to coordinate escalations, share insights and maintain consistent service standards.Configure and deploy Windows devices using Intune/Autopilot and support mobile devices, peripherals and collaboration hardware.Troubleshoot Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and escalate platform-level issues to the relevant pillar when needed.Maintain high-quality documentation, including procedures, fix notes, asset updates and configuration details.Support cyber security, data protection and access-control requirements to keep systems secure.About youYou’ll be a friendly, approachable and confident presence across the Yorkshire estate, helping colleagues with a wide range of IT issues and making their working day run more smoothly. This role involves lots of problem solving, supporting people face-to-face and keeping technology reliable. You’ll bring calm, clear communication, even when things get busy, and you’ll take pride in delivering a reassuring, high-quality service on behalf of the IT team.We’re looking for someone who has:Strong customer service skills and the confidence to work directly with colleagues across multiple sites.Solid general IT knowledge, especially Windows devices, Microsoft 365 apps, and everyday business systems.A logical, methodical mindset for troubleshooting issues and resolving problems efficiently.Good organisation and attention to detail, particularly when logging tickets, updating documentation or juggling multiple tasks.A proactive approach, spotting issues early, taking initiative and being curious about how things work.The ability to collaborate with the wider IT teams in Derbyshire and escalate issues appropriate.It would be beneficial to have some familiarity with identity and access concepts (like MFA or Entra ID), device management tools such as Intune/Autopilot, and an understanding of basic networking.
