JOB TITLE:Service Designer– 12 Month FTC

SALARY:£61,344 - £68,160

LOCATION: Leeds or Bristol

HOURS:Full-time

WORKING PATTERN:

Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites. Colleagues with disabilities can be supported with workplaceadjustmentsincludinghybrid working expectations in line with our Flexibility Works policy.

What you’ll be doing

You’lllove your craft and enjoy sharing your knowledge with others. Whetherthat’sadvocating for Service Design with product teams, defining new ways of working together more effectively, or helping to evolve the service design craft across theorganisation.

You’llplay a key role in shaping experiences that are rooted in colleague,customerand business insight, working collaboratively across disciplines to deliver meaningful outcomes.

You’ll bring strong relationship-building skills, credibility with senior audiences, calmness under pressure, excellent communication skills, and experience using research and design thinking methods.

1. Work effectively and confidently as part of agile teams to help uncover priorities,visualiseoutcomes, and define scope.

2. Shape and define anexperiencevision and strategic initiatives, ensuring we are led bycolleague,customer,businessand market insight.

3. Plan, attend andfacilitateworkshops and discussions with stakeholders, ensuring business context, needs and risks are well understood and that decisions are well informed.

4. Communicate clearly and confidently with colleagues and stakeholders to manage expectations, challenge constraints, deliver outcomes and incorporate multiple perspectives when defining solutions.

5. Work closely with Design Research to define key design themes and challenges,identifyemerging issues and customer needs, and surface risks and pain-point drivers.

6. Use service design artefacts to create intuitive, engaging user experiences that align with both businessobjectivesand customer expectations.

And any experience of these would be great

7. Makestrong designdecisions, bringing the user perspective to the forefront, and measure anddemonstratethe impact of your work.

8. Take ownership of your own development and growth within the craft.

9. Collaborate closely with other designers, productownersand engineers.

10. Be an active member of the design community, sharing knowledge, generatingideasand embedding design principles across products,servicesand customer journeys.
