About the Role
You will be responsible for teaching a class of engaged and enthusiastic Year 4 pupils, supporting their development across all subject areas while fostering confidence, independence, and a love of learning. The role offers the chance to work within a collaborative and experienced KS2 team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering well-structured, engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum
- Using assessment to inform planning, monitor progress, and ensure all pupils are supported and challenged appropriately
- Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations and mutual respect
- Maintaining effective communication with parents, carers, and colleagues
- Contributing to wider school life, including events, enrichment opportunities, and curriculum development
Person Specification / Ideal Candidate:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2, ideally with familiarity with Year 4 curriculum
- Good understanding of the KS2 national curriculum and assessment expectations
- Strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing, pupil-focused approach
- Excellent teamwork, planning, and communication skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and inclusive teaching practice
