Job Summary Control or operate machinery or equipment to assist with manufacturing, packaging, and other steps along a production line. May be expected to handle heavy machinery. Organization - Promptly reports to line manager any discrepancy or issues that prevent timely and safe task completion. - Learns new skills or refreshes existing skills to stay current with the needs of the position and to respond to a changing environment. - Maintains internal and external customer focus. - Trained fire-fighter. Plant Control - Works to specified Safety/Housekeeping standards, particularly regarding wearing of PPE. - Undertakes tasks efficiently, these entail some manual handling, and in accordance with relevant Procedures, Work and Operating Instructions. Documentation and SAP - Accurately performs detailed SAP transactions. - Booking material movements in SAP. - Issuing relevant paperwork for loading / unloading of tankers, lorries and containers. - An internal and external customer focus should be maintained. - Printing ZFIS, stock, sample and shipping labels. - Dangerous goods trained (packers, Air, Sea & Road). Material Handling - Forklift truck movement of materials. - Shipment of orders. - Loading and unloading of containers. - Loading / unloading of tankers and lorries. - Sampling and labelling of finished products and raw materials. Essential: Good educational background with experience as an operator in a chemical production environment. Fork lift truck licensed. IT literate, including knowledge of SAP Preferred: GCSE (A-C) or equivalent with experience as an operator in a chemical manufacturing environment.
