Reporting to: Managing Director/Head of Sales
Schedule: Office Based, with customer/ site visits as required.
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per annum

CT Glass Ltd is a long established and growing glass processing company supplying float glass products into the Architectural and Building Glass industry. CT Glass Ltd works closely with the customers to ensure expectations of the customer are exceeded.
CT’s aim is to reach a wider customer base, with a focus on building our established customer base and cementing new and successful client relationships.
Aims of Role
To maintain profitability based on 2025/2026 and grow the business as per the current model and adapt as required by the Managing Director. Overall turnover and profitability targets set in the budget for financial year 2026/2027. Then a year-on-year growth of 3 % growth minimum for the next 3 years from 2027/2028 onwards.
Role Main Elements
1. Business development – Direct input of/with the internal sales team to develop business with new and existing customers including new products.
2. Sales Team support & Management – Including day to day management the Sales Admin Team internally, estimating (alongside and with input from Head of Sales) whilst focussing on analysis and improvement of conversion figures/insight into targeting customers.
3. Start to Finish Customer Management – responsible for setting/reviewing credit limits alongside the sales team/accounts department, customer satisfaction including complaint resolution and payment performance.
4. Budgeting – Involvement in setting of the overall budget for the internal sales function with the Head of Sales and Directors.
5. Performance Management – Monitor Performance of the Sales Team (Internal) and develop metrics (KPIs etc) aligned to proactively manage the ongoing budgetary performance of the internal team in year and for coming years.
6. 5 Year Strategy - Working with the Managing Director, Head of Sales, Production Manager and Accounts Manager to ensure future operational needs coming from the commercial side of the business are aligned to enable the growth in a managed/controlled manner.
7. Regulatory Compliance -Ensure the team is aware of (and trained) in regulatory detail around the company’s products and adhering to these legal requirements
8. Policy Development – Improve, preserve and promote implementation of company standards, procedure and policies including review of existing processes.
9.Team Development - Support all employees of the Commercial Team (office based) to develop and maintain appropriate commercial skills, and knowledge and build experience. Develop metrics (KPIs etc) aligned to proactively monitor commercial performance of the business. Coach and act as a mentor developing the commercial expertise of colleagues, assisting with achieving individual performance targets and developing future potential
10. Systems Development – Alongside other departments continually assess the software being used (and available) and look to implement updates of current systems and implementation of new systems which are standalone or if used in conjunction with existing systems bring an improvement to the business. Including the current CRM system in use
11. Technical Reference – Provide technical support to the sales function and others in the business for existing products and new. This includes liaising with suppliers on occasion and being involved in internal training when required with current and new staff.
