Robert Half are delighted to be partnering exclusively with Abergavenny Fine Foods, part of the Frostkrone Food Group, to recruit a proactive and detail focused Purchase Ledger Clerk into their supportive Finance Team in Blaenavon.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well‑established and ambitious FMCG manufacturer that is investing heavily in its people, systems and future growth. With supportive leadership, a friendly team culture this role offers stability in a fast paced, hands‑on environment.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you'll play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial processing across the purchase ledger and broader finance function.

You will be responsible for:

Accounts Payable & Supplier Management

1. Maintaining and updating accurate supplier records
2. Posting invoices & credit notes, ensuring correct coding within SAP
3. Matching POs, attaching documentation and resolving discrepancies
4. Managing supplier queries and preparing monthly statement reconciliations
5. Investigating outstanding creditor items

Reconciliations

6. Preparing bank reconciliations
7. Processing credit card statements and employee expenses
8. Maintaining daily cashbook postings

Wider Finance Support

9. Assisting with VAT
10. Supporting the Finance Team
11. Liaising with department heads
12. Providing cover across the transactional team where needed

What We're Looking For

13. An experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk with proven end to end experience
14. SAP experience or strong ERP knowledge (highly desirable)
15. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and organisation
16. Confident communicator, comfortable handling queries internally & externally
17. Strong Excel skills and good financial systems experience
18. Ability to work to deadlines in a busy FMCG/manufacturing environment
