Our innovative team includes a specialist community neuro and voice service, with close links to local hospitals, outpatient VFSS invitations, and service development opportunities such as group therapy, nursing home training, and the rollout and audit of Biozoon.
You will develop and apply your specialist skills in managing a mixed communication and dysphagia caseload for adults with neurological, non-neurological, and progressive conditions.
You will work closely with a full-time Band 7 lead and contribute to planning, development, and delivery of an effective service. Responsibilities include managing your own caseload, supporting junior staff, leading service evaluations, and liaising with other agencies, clients, and carers.
This role involves providing autonomous specialist communication and dysphagia assessments and therapies, with opportunities to manage progressive neurological conditions such as MND, PSP, and HD, engage in voice-banking, collaborate with dietetics, and contribute to the specialist AAC service, Compass. You will also support the Hounslow Neuro-Timely service, offering intensive therapy to patients.
