To undertake duties under direction and guidance of Management and Senior Staff in accordance with agreed programmes of care and promoting independence to the client.
Locations and Travel Details
* Covering; Chester, Ellesmere Port, Neston and Holywell
* Drivers preferred, but not essential
* Mileage covered at 34p per mile
* Paid travel time
* Workdays consist of Am calls, Lunch Calls, Tea Calls and PTB calls – so breaks during the day.
* Day Sits are also available (In blocks of 7 to 8 hours)
Responsibilities
* Assistance to clients who need help with getting up in the morning, dressing, undressing, washing, bathing and toileting.
* Help clients with mobility problems and other physical disabilities, including incontinence, using care aids and personal equipment.
* Assist clients with personal care needs and provide health supervision and attention through direct care as needed.
* Ensure that log sheets are always written cleanly and precisely in black pen and that everything is recorded. IF IT IS NOT RECORDED, IT DID NOT HAPPEN.
* Prompt medication and maintain medication records.
* Help to ensure that the preparation, cooking and serving of food meet the required standards.
* Participate in staff meetings and in staff training and development activities.
* Support the Registered Manager in her duties as the ‘Responsible Person’.
* Identify own training needs and attend both in‑house and external training as directed and as required by Jane Care.
* Always comply with Jane Care’s Policies and Procedures.
* Report to the Registered Manager any significant changes in the health or circumstances of a client.
* Encourage clients to remain as independent as possible.
* Carry out any other tasks that may reasonably be assigned by Management or Senior Staff.
