Our client, a magic circle law firm, is actively recruiting for an experienced Qualified Lawyer to join them on a permanent basis in their London office - working as their new In-House Conflicts Lawyer.
This role will require someone to work Saturday and Sunday (every week), as well as either 2 or 3 days during the standard working week
Working within the Business Acceptance Unit, youll be assessing all new business before its accepted by the firms Partners to ensure legal obligations are met.
As the successful In-House Conflicts Lawyer, youll be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
- Analysing and resolving professional, legal, regulatory and commercial issues relating to business acceptance
- Supporting staff with professional and legal conflicts issues, AML client ID issues and suitability issues
- Responding and managing the teams responses to queries addressed to members of the BAU team
- Monitoring changes and developments in practice, regulations and the law in relating to client ID and KYC obligations
- Screening and advising on terms of pitch documents
- Assisting in the monitoring of information barriers
- Assisting in the creation, development and implementation of the firms global business acceptance policies, processes and systems

To be considered for this opportunity, youll need to have/be the following:
- Be a Qualified Lawyer
- Have Legal Conflicts experience from a law firm environment
- Be able to work on both Saturdays and Sundays (essential)
- Ideally, have international law firm experience
- Be commercially minded
This position will also be suitable for an experienced Qualified Lawyer who is looking to make a move into a Legal Conflicts role from another discipline.
