Job Responsibilities:
* Assist the Manager in the day-to-day operations of the service.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and regulatory requirements.
* Support the development and implementation of care plans for children and young people.
* Supervise and mentor staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
* Manage budgets and financial resources effectively.
* Address and manage challenging behaviour in a constructive manner.
* Engage with families and external agencies to promote positive outcomes.
* Contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Relevant qualification in social care or a related field (e.g., NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
* Experience in children services, particularly in care management and deputy management roles.
* Strong understanding of anti-social behaviour and its impact on children and young people.
* Proficient in budgeting and financial management within a care setting.
* Ability to manage challenging behaviour with empathy and professionalism.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
