East Yorkshire – Hybrid role (factory, client site & home working) £60,000 – £80,000 Company Car or Allowance Bonus Benefits Are you a technically minded leader with deep experience in Light Gauge Steel Framing (LGSF) or SFS systems? This is a rare opportunity to build a new division from the ground up, shaping product development, accreditation, and go-to-market strategy for a leading UK steel fabrication and manufacturing business. The Opportunity You’ll take full ownership of developing and launching a load-bearing wall framing system that complements an already established steel fabrication operation. Over a 12-month roadmap, you’ll deliver all required certifications, build a capable in-house design and estimating function, and position the business as a recognised player in the LGSF market. Once operational, you’ll lead the framing division combining technical, commercial, and strategic oversight across design, estimating, project delivery, and client relationships. Key Responsibilities Product Accreditation & Compliance: Achieve SCI/NHBC certification, oversee fire testing, design literature, and technical documentation. Capability Building: Recruit, mentor, and develop internal design and estimating teams to enable scalable project delivery. Sales Enablement: Support the wider sales function with technical expertise, helping them confidently promote framing systems to new and existing clients. Market Positioning: Drive recognition in both the load-bearing and SFS infill sectors through innovation, performance, and customer engagement. Commercial Growth: Establish pricing models, lead bids, and ensure profitable project delivery from tender through to invoice. Skills & Experience Proven background in light gauge steel framing, structural steel, or off-site construction. Experience with fire testing, system certification, and design compliance (SCI/NHBC). Understanding of estimating and engineering for LGSF/SFS. Competent with design tools such as CAD, Bluebeam, or similar. Commercial acumen with experience driving technical sales or product development. HNC (or above) in Civil or Structural Engineering preferred. Full UK driving licence.
