Location: Scarborough, North Yorkshire
Start Date: April or May 2024
Salary: £83 – £98 per day

GSL Education is currently recruiting for SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team in Scarborough from April and May 2024. This is an exciting opportunity to gain invaluable SEN classroom-based experience, as well as work alongside other professionals within the education sector.
To be successfully shortlisted for this SEN Teaching Assistant post you must have prior related experience, showing a deep understanding of Special Educational Needs. Applications from those who have worked in Care Assistant posts, Social Work, Specialist Foster Carers or Youth Workers are welcomed.
SEN Teaching Assistant – Ideal Requirements:
* Passionate about special educational needs.
* Willing to take part in all activities, both play based, and classroom based.
* Prior experience supporting additional needs.
* Reliable and flexible.
* Relevant qualifications in Education, Health and Social Care or Special Needs.
SEN Teaching Assistant – The Position:
* April and May 2024 start dates – both part time and full-time positions available.
* Supporting a range of age groups including Primary, Secondary and FE.
* Needs requiring additional supporting ASC, MLD, PMLD, SpLD, SLD, SLCN, ADHD, SEMH and GDD.
* Supporting pupil's learning and understanding how to communicate with children with different needs and social in different environments.
* Competitive rates of pay starting at £12.82 per hour.
SEN Teaching Assistant – The Schools:
* Central Scarborough and surrounding villages.
* SEN Schools, Mainstream SEN Support, Pupil Referral Units and Alternative Provisions.
* All within easy access from the bus station and train station.
* Opportunity to work alongside Therapists (Speech and Language, Occupational and Physio).
