Job Description:
A forward-thinking education provision in North Essex is seeking an Inclusion Teacher with a strong focus on behaviour support, engagement, and re-integration. This role is suitable for either a mainstream teacher looking to move into inclusion, or an experienced SEND/SEMH practitioner who is confident working in high-support environments.
The setting supports students who require additional structure and consistency to access learning, with a clear emphasis on reducing barriers to education and improving outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver and support learning for students with behavioural, SEMH, and additional needs
Plan and adapt lessons to re-engage learners working below age-related expectations
Implement consistent behaviour strategies in line with whole-school policies
Support reintegration into mainstream education where appropriate
Work collaboratively with SENCO, pastoral, and safeguarding teams
Contribute to a safe, structured, and supportive learning environmentCandidate Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (ECTs welcome)
Experience in mainstream or SEND settings with a behaviour focus
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Ability to build positive, consistent relationships with students
Calm, resilient, and solution-focused approach
