We are looking for an experienced Security Manager to support the Operations Team in the management of site‑based Security operatives. Duties include staff inductions and training, liaising with external stakeholders such as police, local authorities, recruitment agencies and completing onboarding paperwork.
You will be responsible for the delivery of inductions, training and the completion of Task Risk Assessment paperwork for Security operatives. Ensuring Mitie’s Health & Safety procedures are followed and encouraging safe working practices.
You will need to monitor officer performance, deal with any issues efficiently and professionally, and refer to your line manager where appropriate.
Role Responsibilities
* Build strong relationships with contract clients and external stakeholders and conduct audit inspections.
* Monitor performance against SLAs and Security specifications.
* Manage Security personnel and ensure Health & Safety compliance.
* Follow statutory Fire and Safety regulations to mitigate risks.
* Ensure service delivery across contracts aligns with company policies and procedures (HR, QHSE, RTW, Vetting, Compliance).
Qualifications
* Previous experience in a Management role is essential.
* Strong communication skills and ability to adapt approach to differing audiences.
* Solutions oriented, able to provide explanations and proposed solutions to any problems that arise.
* Proficient IT skills including MS Word and MS Excel; organised, able to multi‑task, prioritise and manage competing demands.
* Strong understanding and respect for confidentiality.
