We are working with a respected and values-driven organisation that is looking for a Management Accountant to join their finance team. The Role
Working on behalf of our client, you will support the Group Financial Controller and Senior Management Accountant, leading and assisting with the finance activities for multiple care homes. Responsibilities include:
* Preparation and review of management accounts for assigned homes and entities.
* Providing accurate and insightful management reporting to support decision-making.
* Month-end and year-end journal preparation, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
* Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and capital reporting processes.
* Reviewing accounts receivable and payable, including invoice reconciliation, cashbook updates, and payment runs.
* Payroll administration, verification, and processing.
* Assisting with financial statements and audit deliverables.
* Leading and developing junior finance team members, including training staff at care homes.
* Supporting process improvement initiatives and identifying efficiency opportunities.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
* A full or part professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA) or equivalent experience.
* Strong experience in management accounting or financial reporting.
* Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
* Proficiency in financial software (e.g., Sage Intacct, CoolCare) and Microsoft Excel.
* Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused environment.
