We require an ambitious Engineering Geologist/Geologist to join our Ground Engineering Team in our Greater Manchester office. You will be involved in a variety of projects across sectors such as property development, infrastructure, mining, local authorities, and waste management.
The Opportunity:
1. Complete Phase I ground engineering, contaminated land, mining/geology, and desk studies;
2. Support site supervision activities, including overseeing ground investigation, remediation, and CQA activities, potentially working away from home;
3. Supervise site works, including logging soils and rocks in accordance with UK standards;
4. Conduct site monitoring activities, including groundwater sampling and gas monitoring;
5. Specify and supervise in-situ testing and sampling per UK specifications;
6. Liaise with clients, engineers, contractors, and sub-contractors during site activities;
7. Assist in preparing health and safety and contract documentation, and manage contracts and budgets;
8. Assess, analyze, and report on geotechnical and geo-environmental data.
About you:
* BSc in Engineering Geology, Geology, or related field; MSc or industry experience is advantageous;
* Full UK driving license and own vehicle;
* Knowledge of UK ground investigation techniques, report writing, and computer skills.
