Job Description:
The FIA’s Technical Audit activities have grown to ensure the integrity, transparency, and fairness of F1. As technology expands into all areas of the sport, we are strengthening our expertise in digital and IT domains.
We are looking for a Technical Auditor: Digital & IT to reinforce the segregation between F1 and non-F1 operations among Teams and Power Unit Manufacturers, ensuring compliance with our Technical, Sporting, Operational, and Financial Regulations.
As a Technical Auditor, you will report directly to the Head of Technical Audit.
MISSIONS AND RESPONSABILITIES:
1. Define and set out guidance and reporting requirements for IT segregation between F1 and non-F1 activities, including but not limited to: network segregation, access control, classification and storage of information, data leakage prevention, and logging and monitoring of access and transfers.
2. Monitor, analyse, and audit IT segregation measures through regular site visits to F1 Teams’ and Power Unit Manufacturers’ facilities, and occasional inspections at F1 races and test events.
3. Develop, maintain, and continuously improve auditing and reporting tools and processes to enhance transparency and efficiency.
4. Act as liaison with F1 Teams and Power Unit Manufacturers, providing support and responding to queries related to IT segregation and compliance.
5. Contribute to the development of new regulatory and monitoring strategies, drafting detailed guidance to support implementation.
6. Work closely with other FIA departments (Technical, Sporting, Operational, Cost Cap) to ensure alignment across compliance areas.
7. Stay updated on emerging digital technologies and IT audit methodologies, and propose continuous improvements to the FIA’s audit processes and regulatory approaches.
Profile:
1. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
2. 10 years of experience in IT infrastructure, networks, and systems, working in complex, multi-user environments with bespoke hardware and software solutions.
3. Experience within an F1 environment or in forensic IT auditing would be a strong plus.
4. Fluent in English; knowledge of French, German, Italian, or Japanese is an asset.
5. Strong ability to understand, analyse, and apply complex technical, operational, and financial regulatory frameworks.
6. Data-driven, methodical, and analytical, with a keen eye for detail, accuracy, and fairness.
7. Able to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to internal and external stakeholders.
8. Collaborative team player with a positive attitude and proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
9. Willing to travel.
