Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the South Ceredigion Community Mental Health Team. Hywel Dda University Health Board is looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Consultant to join colleagues in a forward-looking mental health service. The successful applicant will provide clinical expertise and strategic leadership as we develop our mental health services to meet the population needs of Hywel Dda UHB.
Hywel Dda University Health Board plans and provides NHS healthcare services for people living in Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, and bordering counties. We have over 13,000 staff and provide primary, community, in-hospital, mental health and learning disability services. We work in partnership with the three local authorities, as well as public, private and third sector colleagues, including our volunteers.
Our services are provided in: four main hospitals (Bronglais Hospital, Aberystwyth; Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen; Prince Philip Hospital, Llanelli; Withybush Hospital, Haverfordwest); five community hospitals (Amman Valley, Llandovery, Tregaron, Tenby, South Pembrokeshire); two integrated care centres (Aberaeron and Cardigan) and other community settings. There are also 47 general practices (six health board managed), dental practices (including four orthodontic), 97 community pharmacies, 43 general ophthalmic practices, ophthalmic domiciliary providers, and numerous mental health and learning disability services.

Responsibilities

* Contribute to service planning and delivery to meet population needs.
* Engage with multidisciplinary teams within community and hospital settings.
