Early Years Teaching Assistant (Qualified) – EYFS Location: TA5 Area (Somerset)

About the RoleWe are looking for a qualified Early Years Teaching Assistant to join a caring and supportive village school in the TA5 area. This is a wonderful opportunity to work within a close-knit schoolmunity that values nurturing, creativity, and the development of every child.
The successful candidate will work within the EYFS setting, supporting young learners at a crucial stage of their development, helping to create a safe, engaging, and inspiring environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality EYFS provision
2. Work with children on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
3. Assist with phonics, early literacy, and numeracy activities
4. Help create a warm, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
5. Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development
6. Encourage positive behaviour and build strong relationships with pupils
Requirements
7. Relevant EYFS / Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or above)
8. Experience working within an Early Years setting
9. A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach
10. Strongmunication and teamwork skills
11. A good understanding of safeguarding and child development
12. Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
