Credit manager

Credit Manager | London | £70,000 – £90,000

We're looking for an experienced Credit Manager to join a specialist financial institution with a focus on emerging and frontier markets. This is a high-impact role working across complex structured and project finance transactions, with a particular emphasis on infrastructure in Africa and/or Asia.

The role

You'll lead credit analysis and risk assessment across a portfolio of structured finance transactions, working closely with investment and origination teams to evaluate, approve and monitor credit exposures. You'll also manage and mentor junior analysts, playing an active role in developing the team's capability.

What we're looking for

• Solid credit management experience within project finance, infrastructure or structured finance
• Direct exposure to African or Asian emerging/frontier markets — this is essential
• Experience with credit risk modelling, including IFRS 9, ECL, PD and LGD frameworks
• Familiarity with guarantee products and/or the broader DFI/ECA ecosystem is a strong advantage
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team
• Strong financial modelling skills and the ability to communicate complex credit decisions clearly to senior stakeholders
