We are ELM Group, a leading residential estate management company, with a management portfolio of over 150 exclusive and beautifully landscaped developments across the UK. As the Finance Director, you will advise the Board and the CEO on all matters related to financial strategy and governance while leading an efficient financial service for our customers and staff. You will oversee the operational finance team, ensuring efficient finance operations and collaborating positively with all departments.
As the Finance director you will contribute to effective corporate management, including strategy implementation and business planning. Implementing budget management procedures and clear financial objectives. You will be responsible for financially appraising new development opportunities for the group and will provide professional advice and objective financial analysis. Our ideal candidate will have great attention to detail, be ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualified, with a minimum of 2 years of lead finance experience. Experience in the housing industry is key, with a good understanding of service charge accounts. Understanding and acceptance of a control environment with the ability to influence and implement controls is vital, and you will work to develop a medium-term financial strategy, treasury management, and annual budgeting process for the Group.
Prepare statutory accounts for all managed estates.
Review and complete monthly management accounts and information.
Ensure accurate payroll administration, including pension contributions and expenses.
Review balance sheet reconciliations and maintain internal financial controls.
Monitor monthly performance against the approved Group budget.
Prepare and review monthly financial information, including management accounts and cash flow forecasts.
Submit financial returns as required by regulators and statutory bodies.
Maintain day-to-day contact with banks and prepare financial reports.
Manage the audit procedure, communicating regularly with our auditors
Network with professionals in other management companies and the wider financial community.
Key Performance Standards:
Develop and maintain a comprehensive financial strategy to support the Association's goals.
Ensure effective financial controls to meet Board, auditor, and regulatory requirements.
Manage the Association's financial affairs within policies and budgets.
Produce accurate and timely financial reports and accounts.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00am-5:00pm, 35 hours per week
