Shape Safer Environments Through Technical Excellence
Every building has a story hidden within its structure. As an Asbestos Surveyor, you’ll be the person who uncovers the detail, applies technical expertise and ensures that clients across the UK can make informed, safe and confident decisions. If you enjoy autonomy, thrive in varied environments and take pride in accuracy and clarity, this role offers genuine scope to grow, influence and create meaningful impact.
We have multiple roles available that will either cover locations across the Southeast and London or solely cover the Darlington area in the Northeast. In addition to a very competitive salary and overtime rates, we also offer a company car or a car allowance, giving you the flexibility and support you need for your role.
Purpose & Scope of the Role
This role exists to deliver high quality, UKAS compliant asbestos surveying services across a wide-ranging portfolio of commercial and industrial properties. You will carry out management, refurbishment and demolition surveys, collect precise inspection data and produce clear, robust reports aligned with UKAS accreditation and HSE guidance. Working largely independently on client sites, you will conduct detailed inspections, bulk sampling, and risk assessments, providing technically sound insights that support compliance, risk control and asset management.
You will work closely with internal quality and project teams while interacting directly with clients, facilities personnel and other stakeholders. Reporting to the Regional Operations Manager, you will operate across offices, public buildings, retail, healthcare, education, manufacturing and infrastructure environments. The role involves travelling to multiple sites, managing personal workloads and deadlines, and ensuring exceptional data integrity.
Your Impact in This Position
In the early stages, you will establish yourself as a dependable technical specialist, delivering consistently high quality surveys and building trusted relationships with both clients and colleagues. As your experience deepens, you will gain exposure to larger, more complex survey projects and play a part in service improvements and broader consultancy activities, including major commercial, industrial and refurbishment projects.
Longer-term, this position offers multiple progression pathways, including senior surveying responsibilities, technical auditing, project management or leadership roles within the consultancy. Ongoing professional development and access to diverse sites and contracts provide a strong foundation for sustained career growth.
