EFL Tutors – Hammersmith
EFL Summer Teachers on Junior Summer Programmes for students aged predominantly 14-17 years of age. Students from a range of different regions, including Europe, South America, and S.E Asia.
Teaching General English at a range of levels to the junior summer students
Hours – Monday to Friday 8:45 – 13:45 Teaching: 15 hours teaching per week (approx. 9:15 – 12:45 each day) + 1 hour a day paid as admin etc (20 hours paid per week)
Duration: Up to 6 weeks (01/07 – 09/08)
The role;
You will be working within the colleges Languages department, supporting, teaching, training and assessing students on their courses of study. You will be responsible for delivering education and training to high standards along with preparing student materials, assessing and marking student work and carrying out student tutorials and assessments to ensure each student is achieving their best during their time in the college.
1. Teaching General English at a range of levels to the junior summer students
2. Planning and delivery of engaging lessons
3. Keeping accurate registers – Keeping a record of work
4. Liaising with the Academic Manager and other colleagues to ensure the smooth running of the Programme
5. Following Safeguarding policies
6. Attending a weekly team meeting
7. Representing the College in a professional manner at all times
The person;
We are therefore seeking individuals that are passionate about Languages and that have relevant experience in both educational and industry fields. The individual will also have experience working with students or apprentices either in a college or an educational setting whilst being upbeat, motivational and knowledgeable in the subject area in order to educate and inspire learners.
