Support Worker Job Overview
Location: New Romney, Kent
Hourly Rates: £15.00 to £16.83 per hour with enhanced rate for UK public holidays
Shifts available:
8:30am to 2:30pm
2:30pm to 8:30pm
8:30pm to 8:30am (waking night)
Shifts available Monday- Sunday, working 2-3 days per week plus 2 nights per week. You will need to work alternate weekends, with opportunities for additional shifts to cover sickness and annual leave.
Eligibility Criteria for a Complex Care Assistant
* Full UK driving licence (essential)
* Previous care experience (essential)

About the Role:
We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team and provide high-quality 1:1 support to a female adult client. She lives with a long-term health condition requiring regular monitoring, has a moderate learning disability, and controlled epilepsy.
You will support her both at home and out in the community. She enjoys a variety of daily activities including horse-riding, swimming, bowling, and trips to the local theatre. We're looking for someone who can bring enthusiasm, confidence and encouragement to help her get the most out of each day.
Our clients requirements/ Person specification
* Experience providing 1:1 support to individuals with learning disabilities, both within the home and out in the community
* Ability to prepare modified- diet meals in line with individual dietary needs
* Confident swimmer
* Experience delivering personal care, ensuring dignity and respect at all times
* Willingness to support community- based activities, promoting independence and social inclusion
* Competency in medication administration in accordance with care plans and safety procedures
* Confident around animals
* Ability to carry out basic household chores to support daily living
Contract type: Zero hours contract. Contracted hours may be considered following successful completion of probation.
