We are seeking an experienced Account Operations Manager to take full responsibility for the successful delivery of a large, multi‑site cleaning contract across the Wigan area.
This role is accountable for operational performance, client satisfaction and the commercial success of a contract valued at up to £4m.
Job Description
We are looking for a confident, commercially astute leader with strong cleaning industry experience who can build trusted client relationships, lead high‑performing teams and ensure contractual, financial and compliance requirements are consistently met.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee and deliver a multi‑site cleaning contract across the Wigan area
* Take full ownership of contract performance, ensuring KPIs, SLAs and contractual obligations are met or exceeded
* Act as the primary point of contact for the client, building strong, long‑term stakeholder relationships
* Lead regular performance reviews, service meetings and client reporting
* Hold full financial accountability, including budget control, forecasting, cost management and P&L performance
* Drive operational efficiencies, innovation and profitability improvements while maintaining service quality
* Lead, develop and motivate service managers, supervisors and frontline teams
* Identify and deliver opportunities for service development, contract growth and additional revenue
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
* Previous detailed experience within the cleaning industry is essential
* Proven experience managing multi‑site, client‑focused operations
* Demonstrable success leading and developing operational and supervisory teams
* Strong stakeholder management skills with experience building long‑term client partnerships
* Essential experience in financial management, including budgets, cost control and financial reporting
* In‑depth understanding of contractual obligations, SLAs and KPIs
* Strong working knowledge of Health & Safety requirements within cleaning operations
* IOSH qualification desirable but not essential (can be achieved in post)
* Full UK driving licence required due to regional travel
