Test Cell & Installation Preparation\n* Prepare test rigs and facilities for scheduled tests.\n*Conduct safe, repeatable, and high-quality installations of powertrain systems into test cells.\n*Perform low voltage and high voltage electrical installations, cooling system setups, and facility equipment configurations.\n*Support fabrication and accurate instrumentation fitment as required.\nTest Execution & Data Quality\n*Operate test rigs both manually and using automation systems.\n*Execute and maintain automated test routines.\n*Monitor and ensure high-quality test data.\n*Ensure all tooling is calibrated and compliant with operational standards.\nMaintenance & Downtime Minimisation\n*Carry out first-line servicing and repairs on test systems.\n*Diagnose faults and escalate issues promptly to minimise downtime.\n*Conduct preliminary data analysis and take corrective action when needed.\nFacility & Team Support\n*Maintain workplace organisation and cleanliness using 5S and TPM principles.\n*Support with goods handling, inspection, and logistical tasks.\n*Contribute to process improvement and documentation of local work instructions.\n*Participate in training activities and support skill development across the team.\n*Adhere to all health and safety protocols within the facility.\nKey Performance Indicators\n*Achievement of hourly and project test targets\n*Delivery of testing activities according to schedule\n*High quality and integrity of recorded test data\n*Adherence to operational and safety standards\nRequired Qualifications & Skills\n*NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent in Mechanical or Motor Vehicle Engineering\n*Minimum 3 years of relevant technical experience\n*Functional Skills Level 2 or equivalent in English, Maths, and Science\n*Proficient in Microsoft Office applications\nEssential Skills & Experience\n*Strong knowledge of vehicle and powertrain technologies, especially hybrid and electric systems\n*Excellent practical and mechanical skills\n*Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently\n*Effective communication and ability to follow technical instructions\nDesirable Skills & Experience\n*Experience with automated powertrain test cells\n*Background in prototype powertrain systems and diagnostic tools\n*Familiarity with test instrumentation and data acquisition systems\n*Understanding of health & safety standards, risk assessment, and COSHH\n*Full UK driving licence (max 6 points)\n£24ph Outside IR35\nMin 3 months
