Contek Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a specialist manufacturing company, located in Coventry. Due to an increase in customer orders, they are now on the hunt for a Manufacturing Manager to join their growing team, on a full-time, permanent basis.
PROFILE:
Our client is a family-owned business based in Coventry, UK. They specialise in providing surface finishing solutions. The company manufacture a range of machines, the consumables and offer a subcontract finishing service. Their products are supplied into a range of industries from Automotive, Aerospace, Medical and 3D Printing.
JOB ROLE: Manufacturing Manager.
JOB TYPE: Full time, permanent.
WORKING HOURS: 40 hours per week – Monday to Friday (06:30 AM until 15:00 PM)
SALARY/PAY: £40,000 - £42,000 per year (Dependent on experience)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Managing and scheduling operations in regard to quality & quantity of production output for customer supplied parts.
* Communicate production status, potential delays, or issues to management and stakeholders/customers.
* Liaising between Office & Sub-contracting employees & Customer to ensure internal & external customer satisfaction.
* Attend internal & external quality and production meetings.
* Visit customers as and when required for production and quality related activities.
* Analyse production data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, or areas for improvement in the production process.
* Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or production timelines.
* Propose and implement process improvements to optimize productivity and reduce costs.
* Maintaining cleanliness in production and common areas.
* Adhering to and enforcing health and safety standards along with company polices.
* To liaise with the Senior Polisher in order to achieve the most effective and efficient daily production output.
* Address real-time production challenges, around staff, materials and equipment.
PERSON REQUIREMENTS:
* Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment is essential, primarily within a specialist engineering environment. Surface finishing would be ideal.
* Knowledge or experience within the Aerospace industry would be preferred.
* The ability to work well under pressure.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* The ability to work with diverse teams.
* Outstanding problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of manufacturing production and processes.
* Experience within process improvement
