Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our clients finance team. The successful candidate will support the organisation’s financial operations by managing accounts payable, data entry, and maintaining accurate financial records.
Responsibilities
Processing and reconciling accounts payable transactions efficiently and accurately
Managing data entry tasks related to financial records using various accounting software platforms such as Workday, Sage, Xero, and PeopleSoft
Assisting with month-end closing procedures and preparing relevant reports
Ensuring all financial documentation complies with organisational policies and regulatory standards
Supporting the accounts team with general administrative duties related to finance operations
Maintaining organised records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documents
Collaborating with internal departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments
Assisting in the implementation and optimisation of accounting systems and processesQualifications
Proven experience working with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or PeopleSoft is highly desirable
Strong data entry skills with high accuracy and attention to detail
Familiarity with accounts payable processes and financial record management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Previous experience in financial services or related sectors is preferred but not essential
