Building Surveyors - High Rise Management & Investment (July 2025)
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team in delivering multi-million-pound investment programmes across the city's high-rise blocks as part of a 15-year investment strategy.
The successful applicant will provide building surveying and contract management services to 50 Council high-rise blocks, utilizing innovative construction methods as part of the Whole House Retrofit Strategy. This role is crucial for ensuring the sustainability and quality of our high-rise buildings and improving residents' living standards.
You will collaborate with external design teams and contractors on large-scale retrofit projects. Currently, we have five design commissions at various RIBA stages covering 14 high-rise blocks, with additional blocks scheduled for full fabric upgrade, with a budget of around £250m. We also manage a £60m fire safety improvement programme covering 30 high-rise blocks, one of the UK's most ambitious domestic fire safety initiatives. Further mechanical and electrical upgrade programmes are planned for early design phases.
We seek candidates who are chartered or senior/associate level with strong communication skills and experience managing projects from start to completion, with good project management and contract administration knowledge.
