The Role
As a Generator Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the service, maintenance, and repair of diesel generators and associated equipment. Your role will involve diagnosing faults, carrying out planned preventative maintenance, and responding to emergency breakdowns. You will work both independently and as part of a team, ensuring high standards of service and reliability for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
* Service, maintain, and repair diesel generators, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
* Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs to minimise downtime.
* Conduct routine inspections and planned maintenance activities.
* Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide timely solutions.
* Work on control panels, wiring, and load testing as required.
* Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
* Adhere to health and safety guidelines and company policies at all times.
* Provide excellent customer service and technical support where needed.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience working with diesel generators, preferably in a service or maintenance role.
* Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
* Knowledge of control panels, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Full UK driving licence (essential).
* Strong commitment to health and safety practices.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
