Accounting & Reporting Specialist – Investments
Location: York or Norwich
Are you experienced in financial reporting or investment accounting, with an interest in financial markets? Our Investment Operations team is expanding, and we’re looking for an Investment Reporting Specialist to join us.
About the role:
With approximately £400bn of investment assets, the Investment reporting team provides critical services including statutory and regulatory reporting (IFRS & Solvency II), data provision to stakeholders, credit risk reporting, and managing investment change portfolios. The team also acts as a key SME for investment data queries.
You will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely financial reports, statements, and regulatory filings, supporting strategic decision-making.
Additional responsibilities include:
* Operating controls over accounting outputs to mitigate risks and rectify issues
* Preparing and reviewing financial statements and disclosures in line with IFRS or Solvency II
* Participating in strategic change projects
* Collaborating with investment, finance, and operations teams for accurate reporting
* Liaising with auditors, regulators, and stakeholders
* Implementing process improvements for reporting efficiency
Skills and experience:
Strong Excel skills; Oracle is a plus.
Recognized accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) and practical experience.
Understanding of investment instruments and lifecycle.
Ability to handle large datasets with accuracy and analytical skills.
Experience in investment operations or back office preferred.
