Home Education Link Officer
posts. We are looking for motivated and dedicated applicants who can demonstrate a strong passion for working with home-educating families and be responsible for: delivering national Elective Home Education (EHE) statutory compliance – and the underpinning legal duty to ensure all children have access to an education suitable to their age, ability, aptitude, and any special educational needs contributing to effective and high-quality interagency partnership – including robust liaison with parents, schools and learning providers, SEND and CME colleagues, social care and health services, alongside other DCC and external stakeholders providing relevant information, advice, and support to families who are considering or have chosen to home educate their child promoting the wellbeing of Derbyshire’s young people through continuing development of knowledge, skills, and understanding regarding safeguarding Provisional Interview Date: 28 July 2025 Due to this post having access to children and/or vulnerable adults, the successful candidate will be required to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post, as all cases are judged individually according to the nature of the role and information provided.
