A Fantastic Opportunity: SITE AGENT

As a Civils Site Agent you will be responsible for supporting delivery of projects on our network infrastructure, particularly those involving excavation and reinstatement, while ensuring compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and financial standards. A core part of your role as Civils Site Agent will be carrying out audits to maintain safety on site and meet customer and client expectations.

Principal responsibilities of the role

Lead day-to-day operations on excavation and reinstatement sites.
Ensure works are delivered safely and on time.
Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and utility providers.
Conduct internal and external audits to ensure adherence to specifications, permits, and environmental standards.
Maintain accurate site records and documentation for audit trails.
Liaise with local authorities and clients to ensure regulatory compliance with permit conditions
Act as the main point of contact for clients, public bodies, and third parties across our excavation, backfill and reinstate and traffic management activities
Represent the company in meetings and site inspections.
Support the Project Manager and Quantity Surveyor with overseeing project costings, including taking measurements on site and responding to cost variations
Supervise sub-contractor site teams, positively challenging unsafe behaviours
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure team compliance with HSE policies.
Drive excellent customer service for internal and external customers, identifying potential risks / complaints and put mitigation in place to ensure the job runs smoothly.
Support the Project Manager to ensure projects are delivered in a timely manner supporting client SLA’s and unit cost targets.
Be able to have knowledge and understand LV network drawings and construction plans.
Build strong relationships with customers and sub-contractors maintaining the company reputation on CSAT scoring.
Respond to customer enquiries and complaints, on site and remotely, providing subject advice to customers on specific and general aspects of the project.
Contribute to the achievement of a zero-accident culture through producing health and safety reports as required, and by safely planning in jointing works.
Provide regular progress updates to customers and take ownership of customer concerns and any related complaints as required.


The successful candidate must, at the start of employment have permission to work in the UK without sponsorship.


What we’re looking for

We welcome applications from individuals with diverse backgrounds and experiences who meet the following criteria:

Previous experience working in the network utilities or construction industry (Essential)
Previous experience in contractor liaison (Essential)
Previous experience with excavation and reinstatement works in the utility sector. (Essential)
Previous experience working in a customer service environment (desirable)
Previous experience working in a commercial project planning role (desirable)
Previous experience supporting delivering multiple projects at one time.
ISOSH accreditation (desirable)
NRSWA experience (Essential) and accreditation (desirable)
Familiarity with asset management systems eg GIS
Have the proven ability to achieve deadlines to meet individual and team set targets whilst meeting the demands of different stakeholders and contractors.
Be self-driven with the ability to work under pressure to meet relevant business/regulatory targets.
