Job Title: SQL DBA
Location: Leeds, UK
Duration: FTC (3 Months)
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled SQL DBA to manage, maintain, and optimize our SQL Server databases. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring database performance, integrity, security, and availability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server databases.
* Monitor database performance, implement tuning and optimization.
* Perform regular backups and recovery operations.
* Manage security, access controls, and data integrity.
* Automate routine tasks and manage scheduled jobs.
* Troubleshoot and resolve database issues and outages.
Required Skills:
* Strong knowledge of SQL Server (2016/2019/2022).
* Experience in T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.
* Proficiency in performance tuning and query optimization.
* Experience with backup/restore strategies and disaster recovery.
* Familiarity with SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS is a plus.
* Understanding of indexing, partitioning, and replication.
* Working knowledge of Windows Server environments.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
