Are you a senior property professional with a passion for compliance and safety? We’re recruiting for a Property Services Manager (Compliance) to join a forward-thinking housing organisation in St Austell, Cornwall. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead on compliance across a large and diverse property portfolio, ensuring safe, high-quality homes and services for residents.
About the Role
As the Property Services Manager (Compliance), you’ll take responsibility for statutory and regulatory compliance across key areas including gas safety, electrical, fire, asbestos, legionella, lifts, and more. You’ll lead a dedicated compliance team, develop policies and procedures, and drive forward service improvements and best practice.
This is a critical leadership position, ideal for someone with a strong technical background in property maintenance or construction, and experience managing compliance in a housing or built environment setting.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure full compliance with statutory requirements and regulatory standards.
* Oversee key certifications including Gas Safe, NICEIC, Oftec, HETAS, MCS, and PAS 2030.
* Develop, implement, and continuously improve internal processes and service delivery frameworks.
* Monitor compliance KPIs and prepare clear, concise reports for senior leadership.
* Lead, develop, and support a team of compliance professionals.
* Act as the senior point of contact for property-related emergencies outside of business hours.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in property compliance or construction management, ideally within social housing or public sector environments.
* Foundation Degree or Equivalent to Level 5 Qualification
* Sound understanding of current legislation including:
* IEE 18th Edition
* Gas Safety Regulations
* CDM 2015
* Fire Safety Act
* Building Safety Act
* Strong people management skills with experience leading high-performing teams.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build trust with stakeholders.
* A proactive, solution-focused mindset and a genuine passion for delivering safe, high-quality homes.
