Banana Moon Day Nurseries is seeking a passionate and dedicated Deputy Room Leader to join our team, offering competitive pay at £14.50 per hour. As the Deputy Room Leader, you will play a key role in supporting the Room Leader in providing high-quality care and education for children aged 2-3 years old.
Your responsibilities will include creating a safe and nurturing environment that meets the individual needs of children, as well as fostering positive relationships with parents and caregivers. You will be instrumental in implementing age-appropriate activities and ensuring that the principles of early childhood education are effectively delivered.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist the Room Leader in planning and facilitating engaging, educational activities that foster development.
* Support and supervise nursery staff, helping to enhance their practice and confidence.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment in line with health and safety standards.
* Build strong connections with children and families, ensuring effective communication and support.
* Step in for the Room Leader when needed, ensuring seamless continuity of care.
* Participate in observations and assessments of children's progress and development.

Requirements
* Level 3 qualification in Early Childhood Education or equivalent is essential.
* Previous experience in a nursery or childcare setting, preferably in a leadership role.
* Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
* Demonstrated organizational and time management capabilities.
