Overview
We are working with Schools and Local Authorities in your area and are looking for Core Subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEND Tutors and Teachers to transform the lives of Young People with SEND and SEMH needs in your community.
We are on a mission to raise the standard of education provided to young people with SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as other needs such as SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health). We increasingly support children and young people with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties), SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties), and PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties). Responsibilities
* Plan and report for lessons and provide regular feedback on student progress
* Deliver flexible, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring to pupils and students, ranging from KS1 to KS5 (as appropriate for your skills)
* Support the SEND team to keep a coordinated approach around the child
* Utilise the TES CPD suite and participate in professional mentor access for ongoing development
* Engage in community and company events for knowledge sharing and resources
Qualifications & Experience
* 2+ years teaching experience, ideally working with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD in a holistic and trauma‑informed way
* Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)
Compliance & Safeguarding
* Enhanced DBS (facilitated if needed)
* Minimum 2+ professional references
* Knowledge of safeguarding and creating a safe learning environment
Location & Contract
Jarrow, Tyne and Wear - £28 – £35 per hour. Contract.
You must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, even for remote/online jobs.
