Position: Legal Operations Manager
Role Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Hertfordshire (Ideally Hybrid or Fully Remote with Ad Hoc travel to the office)
Salary Guide: up to £55,000 per annum + Benefits
We’re working on behalf of a leading organisation in it's field, who are seeking a new hire for their Legal and Company Secretariat function and now looking to appoint a Legal Operations Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a collaborative and agile working environment, with flexibility to work hybrid from the office in Hertfordshire or remotely with ad hoc travel to the office.
The Role:
Working closely with the Group General Counsel and senior stakeholders across legal, compliance, data protection and governance, you’ll be at the heart of the team’s operations. You’ll be the person who ensures everything runs smoothly, from managing legal spend and panel law firm relationships to implementing tech solutions and co-ordinating internal processes.
This role is ideal for someone who is proactive, very organised, and has excellent communication skills. You’ll be the kind of person who anticipates what’s needed, takes ownership, and just gets things done.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage legal financial administration including invoicing and budgeting
* Oversee law firm panel relationships, instructions, and onboarding
* Drive legal tech adoption and manage supplier relationships
* Liaise with IT and Comms on systems rollouts and intranet development
* Maintain internal legal systems, databases, and knowledge-sharing tools
* Create reporting dashboards to provide visibility on legal workflow and performance
* Provide admin support including diary management and event coordination
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience in a law firm or in-house legal team
* Track record of managing legal panels and external legal spend
* Familiarity with legal operations platforms and databases
* Excellent administrative and organisational skills with a strong attention to detail
* Confident with data and reporting (Excel, PowerPoint essential; Oracle desirable)
* Clear and confident communicator with a proactive, solution-focused mindset
