Business Development Sales Manager

Do you have proven experience driving sales growth with premium UK retailers? Have you worked within the sports, lifestyle, or premium consumer goods sector? Are you a natural relationship builder who thrives on creating new opportunities and growing brand presence in high‑end retail environments?

Macgregor Black is partnering with a Premium Sports Brand on the search for a Business Development Sales Manager. As the Business Development Sales Manager, you will take ownership of developing and expanding the brand’s presence across premium and department store channels. You’ll build strong commercial partnerships, open new doors, and deliver best‑in‑class brand representation across the UK luxury retail landscape. This role reports directly to the CEO.


Key Responsibilities

* Drive business growth by identifying, targeting, and onboarding new premium retail partners.
* Manage and develop accounts, introducing key accounts like Harrods and Selfridges.
* Build long‑term relationships with buyers and category managers across the luxury retail sector.
* Lead negotiations, trading terms, and promotional planning to maximise profitability.
* Work closely with marketing and brand teams to ensure seamless brand presentation and alignment across channels.
* Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify new commercial opportunities.
* Deliver accurate forecasting, reporting, and account performance analysis.
* Represent the brand at trade shows, events, and retail meetings to strengthen market visibility.


What We’re Looking For

* Proven track record in business development or national account management within sports, lifestyle, or premium consumer goods.
* Experience working with high‑end UK retailers.
* Strong commercial acumen with experience managing P&L and negotiation processes.
* Excellent relationship‑building skills and a consultative sales approach.
* Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and capitalise on new opportunities.
* Highly organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, brand‑driven environment.
* A passion for sports, fashion, and premium lifestyle brands.
