The Vacancy Finance Officer (Housing) ?? Location: Lombard House, Belfast (Hybrid Working) ?? Department: Finance ?? Hours: 37 hours per week, Full Time ?? Contract: Fixed Term - 12 Months ?? Every service we deliver relies on strong systems, trusted information and people who care about doing things properly. We're looking for a Finance Officer to join our Finance team at Lombard House. This role plays an important part in ensuring our financial processes run smoothly, accurately and efficiently - supporting services that make a real difference across Northern Ireland and Republic Of Ireland. This role would suit someone with experience in finance administration, accounts, bookkeeping or accounting technician roles who enjoys working with numbers, solving problems and being part of a collaborative team. About the Role As Finance Officer, you will help maintain the organisation's financial systems and records, ensuring financial information is accurate, well managed and delivered on time. Working closely with the Senior Finance Officer and wider Finance team, you will support key financial processes including invoicing, reconciliations, reporting and financial administration. This role is based at Lombard House, with hybrid working available, including anchor office days on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. What the Role Will Involve: Your role will involve supporting the Finance team through: Preparing and processing monthly sales invoices accurately and on time Maintaining and reconciling accounts within the Integra financial system Allocating receipts and payments to the appropriate accounts Completing monthly account and balance sheet reconciliations Preparing and posting journals within financial systems Assisting with credit control activities across the organisation Supporting the preparation of monthly departmental financial reports Managing finance queries from internal and external stakeholders This list is not exhaustive and may be reviewed to reflect the evolving needs of the organisation. What We Need From You Qualifications A qualification in a business or accountancy discipline equivalent to Accounting Technician (or above) AND one year's experience working in a finance function; OR Two years' experience working in a finance function. Knowledge and Skills Experience of Microsoft Excel to an intermediate level or above Proven experience of reconciling accounts Ability to manage and prioritise workload to ensure effective and timely outcomes Ability to use initiative and work with minimum direction Why Join Our Finance Team?
