Sanctuary Supported Living is delighted to be recruiting for a Support Assistant CQC Registered, Learning Disabilities Service at Sycamore Court in Leicester.

The role of Support Assistant will include:

Providing a high quality, hands:on support service
:
Supportingcustomers to build the confidence they need to gain further independence
:
Encouragingcustomers to develop their daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, shopping and being part of their community
:
Working with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve the best outcome for ourcustomers
:
Maintaining a safe environment for clients, providing support in accordance with relevant regulations, procedures and practices
Skills and experiences:

Ideally you will have experience of working with vulnerable adults, however candidates with a real passion for the role and a willingness to learn are encouraged

Experience working as part of a team is essential
:
You will be empathetic and non:judgmental with a positive approach to managing challenging behaviour
:
A positive, 'can:do' attitude
:
Excellentinterpersonal, organisational, listening and time management skills
:
Literacy and numeracy equivalent to at least GCSE Grade C English and Mathematics, is essential

NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards, is desirable
