This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in their work and understands how a well-maintained building contributes to quality of life.
The Role
You’ll be a key part of the home’s day-to-day operation, helping to ensure the environment is safe, compliant and well cared for. From small repairs to routine safety checks, your work will directly support residents, colleagues and visitors.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Completing general maintenance and minor repairs across the home
2. Supporting the upkeep of the building to ensure a safe and secure environment
3. Carrying out routine health & safety and fire safety checks
4. Assisting with decorating, touch-ups and minor improvement works
5. Responding promptly to maintenance requests from the care team
6. Helping maintain a clean, welcoming and well-presented home
About You
You’ll be practical, reliable and confident working in a care environment, with an understanding of how maintenance supports quality care. You will ideally have:
7. At least 1 year’s experience in a similar maintenance or facilities role
8. Familiarity with compliance checks required in a care home, including health & safety and fire safety
9. Good practical skills in general maintenance, repairs and DIY
10. A proactive, solution-focused approach and strong attention to detail
11. The ability to work independently while being a positive team player
12. A commitment to high standards and a respectful, caring approach

Hurst Park Court in Huyton is home to well trained and helpful staff with rooms for up to 41 residents. At Anchor, we pride ourselves in providing 24-hour care and specialised services for elderly people, the beauty of our grounds, the quality of our catering and our engaging activities we deliver.
