Senior Buyer opportunity for a commercially driven procurement professional with experience sourcing polymers or raw materials within manufacturing.
We’re looking for a commercially sharp Senior Buyer to join RGE Group at our Whittlesey plastic injection moulding facility. This role is central to the commercial performance of our supply chain — managing supplier relationships and negotiating competitive pricing across virgin and recycled polymers including PP, ABS and PA.
You will lead competitive RFQ processes across the plastics supply market, analyse supplier cost drivers, and drive measurable cost reductions while ensuring reliable supply to support production. This position offers strong commercial ownership and the opportunity to influence procurement strategy within a growing manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities
* Develop sourcing strategies across key commodities including raw materials, consumables and factored goods
* Manage and negotiate a significant raw material spend across polymer commodities including PP, ABS and PA
* Run competitive RFQ processes across the plastics supplier market
* Negotiate supplier pricing, contracts and commercial agreements
* Deliver cost reduction and value engineering initiatives
* Manage supplier relationships and performance across cost, quality and delivery
* Monitor commodity markets and supplier cost drivers to support procurement decisions
* Support sourcing activities for new product introductions (NPI)
* Ensure supply continuity and proactively manage supply chain risks
What We’re Looking For
This position is best suited to an experienced buyer with direct responsibility for supplier negotiations, RFQs, and raw material cost management within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* Proven experience in a Senior Buyer / Procurement role
* Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
* Experience working with ERP purchasing systems
* Experience buying raw materials, polymers, or manufacturing commodities
* Strong analytical, commercial, and stakeholder management skills
